Fall Colors Ride - The Passing Of The Torch

Hello Friends, and I’m very sincere about calling you Friends. Among the “true” friends I have in this world, the ones in the MSTA are among the very closest!

For 14 or 15 years I have been privileged to sponsor the Fall Colors Ride in Snowshoe or

Lewisburg, WV, a job I inherited (with a lot of assistance) from Galen Diehl.

We have experienced rain, snow, and mostly wonderful riding weather and routes over the years.

The Quality Inn has proven to be a constant companion, and Lewisburg is a wonderful location!

I especially would like to thank Doug Pippin, Norm Kern, and everyone else that has volunteered their time and effort to helping me over all these years, Including all the folks who sometimes borrowed from their riding time to help with registration, and other chores.
Harry Hemstreet, I hope you’re seeing this from your vantage point on high, but I owe you a lot, as does this organization.

I guess everyone can guess that this is leading to some conclusion!?

I’m 76, and trying to sell all my rental properties at this favorable market to provide a living income for Pam and I.
I am renovating them to the extent that they are bringing top value so far, and we’ll need that to produce a decent retirement.

I met Chris Shoop at Star last year, and was immediately impressed with his intelligence and willingness to work and become involved! He is now in the midst of starting two new rallies, and he has expressed a desire to take the reins of the Fall Colors Ride!

At this point in my life, I feel fortunate to find what I consider to be an excellent person to lead this event! He will provide contact information for you, and you may still contact me if you need assistance.

Fall Colors will persevere! He will publish this, as well as a website with all details. I ask you to support him as you have certainly supported me all these years.

Sometimes a change will do ya’ good!

Good Lord willing, I’ll join you again this year. Blessings to everyone, Syd
